Burton Snowboards and Diamond Peak Join Forces in Creating New Learn To Ride Marketing Campaign
Incline Village, NV-Diamond Peak and Burton Snowboards have joined forces on a cooperative marketing effort to bring fun and creativity to snowboarders of all ages. Burton chose Diamond Peak as the optimal location for executing this program, one of only two in North America. As a result, Diamond Peak will put increased emphasis on their Burton Learn To Ride Center and progression programs. Burton will also brand select Learn To Ride events that will take place at Diamond Peak Ski Resort during the 2009/2010 season. Burton approached their partner Learn To Ride Centers last season with a request for marketing proposals with creative ideas on how to promote the Burton Learn To Ride program through marketing, social media, snowboard school programs or special events. Diamond Peak submitted an on-mountain video produced by the marketing department outlining new Learn To Ride events, programs and ways to engage new and progressing riders. Two Burton Learn To Ride weeks will be held January 11-15 and March 8-12. Guests can buy a first-time Learn To Ride package for only $29! The package includes a beginner lift ticket, Burton Progression equipment and 1 hr 45 min lesson. The package is available to those ages 7 and up. Another event that Diamond Peak will be featuring this season is the Burton Jiblet series. This competition is for intermediate and advanced freestyle riders of all ages. Riders can showcase their best tricks at Diamond Peak in a jam-style format. Contestants will win cash and other great prizes for the best riders in the open division. As part of the Burton Learn To Ride program, Diamond Peak will offer a Burton Powder Clinic from 9 am-10 am every time Diamond Peak reports 12 inches of new snow. There will also be free clinics on select weekends with the use of Burton Progression gear. These specialty clinics will focus on all mountain, terrain parks and carving, and will be taught by Diamond Peak’s Burton Learn To Ride coaches. “We are really excited to take our partnership with Burton to the next level, and pleased that they have chosen Diamond Peak as a marketing partner to increase participation in winter sports,” said Carl Hill Director of the Diamond Peak Ski & Snowboard School. Diamond Peak Ski Resort is located in Incline Village, Nevada on the scenic north shore of Lake Tahoe. There is an 1840 foot vertical drop with 30 runs from beginner to advanced. Diamond Peak is scheduled to open December 10 for the 2009-10 ski and snowboard season. Season passes are on sale now until Sep 30th.
